My last students are finishing their English4 exam. Matti, who is part of the students of Spanish, is still busily writing....

My name is Leena Ritokangas and I teach English here in Sepän lukio (Seppä High School). My passion is languages and travelling, I have studied 10 languages already (but of those Latin can't really be spoken, Esperanto is a man-made language that I've forgotten and my Russian is more than rusty). So, the languages that I speak/understand either fairly well or perfectly are Finnish, Swedish, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Empecé con español en enero 2008 quando quería ir caminar un parte del camino de Santiago...lo que hicé en julio: Astorga-Santiago en 13 días fantasticas. Este año caminé desde Francia hasta Burgos pero tenía problemas de piernas. So, you see why I've had a good reason to learn and practise my Spanish. I do made lots of mistakes, but the older one gets the lessyou care about making mistakes. I want to speak with people and languages help...
I'm going to visit Spain again for the New Year, I'm coming with my brother who has never been in Spain before. We'll visit Cordoba, Granada and , surprise, surprise-Sevilla, too. We'll be in your town on January 5th-7th.
Someone imagined temperatures as low as -40. I've never seen that, although -30 -35 a few times. It seems that winter is very mild at the moment (0 degrees) and there is only 1-5 cm of snow (we'd like to have more....we keep asking the weather people on TV if there is going to be a "white Christmas"....everyone wants that!). However, in Lapland, about 400km to the north they have 50cm of snow....
